Hearing Test
Early detection of hearing loss through pure tone audiometry (PTA) is the key to early intervention and better outcomes. Conducted by hearing care professionals and audiologists, this test utilizes specialized equipment to determine your level of hearing.
A hearing test typically takes about 30 minutes and involves the following steps:
1. History taking: The hearing care professional will ask some questions to learn more about your hearing concerns, medical history and lifestyle.
2. Otoscopy: We will look into your ears using an otoscope to check for earwax blockages or other irregularities.
3. Hearing test: You will be tested on the softest sounds you can hear at each frequency in a sound-treated room to ensure accuracy of results
4. Consultation: The hearing care professional will review the test results with you and provide recommendations for managing your hearing health.
